Friends of Powell Corderoy School (FOPCS)
Who are FOPCS?
A wonderful group of volunteers who give up their time to help raise money for our school. Mainly parents, but also staff, ex-parents and friends who have one thing in common - they want to help.
What do FOPCS do?
All sorts! FOPCS hold a variety of events through the year such as the Christmas and Summer Fairs, cakes sales, preloved uniform sales, quizzes and discos. They also run a Friends of Powell Corderoy 200 Club, with a cash prize of up to £100 a month.
These events aren't just great fundraisers - they're also great fun! Families and friends come together and everyone can join in supporting our community by taking part.
This year, we've given serious thought to how our FOPCS activities support the school's strategic aims as well. You can find more detail about our pledge to do this here...
How can you help?
By joining our school, you're automatically a Friend of Powell Corderoy, and there are hundreds of different ways you can get involved. Meetings are held at least termly and the committee are always looking for new members and volunteers. Whether you can bake a cake, run a stall, source raffle prizes, keep accounts or drum up support on social media... every little helps!
It is great fun and very rewarding to be involved in school life. You can make a real difference and be part of events that the children will remember for a long time.
If you would like to get involved please do get in touch by emailing fopcs@pcps.uk or find us on Facebook.
